I started ‘Absolute Care For You’ in September 2022, after witnessing firsthand the need for consistent in-home support services for seniors in my local community.

My ahh ha moment came while watching the documentary ‘Everybody’s Oma’. Oma was a lady living with dementia and the documentary follows her family’s journey while caring for Oma. In one scene the family struggled to find external carers to attend their home. Seeing this, I realized I needed to make a career change and become a carer that would offer absolute care to my client’s.

My family background has been the inspiration and reason for my caring nature. I grew up in a family that regularly cared for others. My parents looked after an elderly friend in our home, then later cared for their parents. We would also often go to friends’ homes to help them in times of need.

My parents were always very caring and giving of their time. They were also foster parents to many children. I have two sisters that came to live in our home when I was growing up, one was aged 7 and the other aged 6 months at the time. Our family of 6 became a family of 8 overnight. While researching the commencement of my new business ‘Absolute Care For You’, I realised there was an opportunity to become a care coordinator partnering with Trilogy Care. Their service offers assistance to seniors who have Home Care Package funding, in navigating the My Aged Care application process. From there, it’s a matter of organising the care services and support that clients require and choose for their individual needs. I’m so excited to offer the Gympie community and surrounding areas my services and expertise. I have 11 years of experience in service management in the aged care industry.
